FEVER RUB™ is a ready to use mixture of water, grain ethanol, acetic acid and lavender oil specifically formulated to use for sponging therapy when fever reduction is necessary. All ingredients FEVER RUB™ are used in safe proportions to assure the maximum cooling effect. Water alone does not evaporate very rapidly, but with an addition of moderate amount of ethanol evaporation is increased so that body cooling occurs faster and more efficiently. Small amounts of acetic acid and lavender oil aid in cooling by opening skin blood vessels and bringing blood to the skin surface.
